Our theme for this months Blog Hop is...Designers Choice!
Well, let me tell you...having free reign to create anything isn't easy either. So many ideas running through my head was kind of overwhelming.
But I narrowed it down to a stamp set I hadn't used before and
combined that with a few of my favorite things.
Can you guess what those might be???

Well, if you follow me, you may know what they are. But if you don't yet...click the pink "follow me" button below or to the right sidebar, and follow us, so you don't miss our monthly hops and giveaways!

Anyhooo...I'll tell ya...I LOVE to heat emboss in all kinds of different ways, which I'll share in more detail next month, I LOVE die cuts, and I LOVE bling and sparkle. Because what girl doesn't, right?

Today I'm sharing this magical beauty using some of my favorite things: gold/clear heat embossing, die cuts, distress oxide inks, and sparkle to
complete this mystical shaker card.

Irish Friendship Card

Happy St. Patrick's Day!!! I'm feeling the 'Luck o' the Irish' with me today, because I'm sharing this sweet card full of spring colors, plaid, and childhood memories from this darling "Lollipop Love" set by Polka Dot Orchard digital stamps. It's not just for Valentines Day. It's versatile for other occasions too! Isn't this cheery and fun??? Love it!!!
Reminds of those brightly colored sucker pops I used to get from the candy store across the street from my Grandma's house. OH! You heard me right! A kids dream! Am I right? Oh yeah...a sweet little mom and pop general store, but we always called it the "candy store," where all our pennies were spent when we came to visit! And these suckers took me right back to those days! Such sweet memories of me and my little sister filling our small brown paper bags full of 1 cent candies. Oh! Those were the days!

Thanks for stopping by!
May the 'Luck o' the Irish' be with you

Prayers to the world! ~Kim & family

My 1st card I knew I wanted lots of leaves and color with ink smooshing, alcohol markers, and die cuts on a fairly large card.
Picture
My 2nd card I used masking, ink blending, and distress micro glaze techniques on a layered card with die cut frames.
Picture
My 3rd card is similar to my 2nd card with masking, ink blending, and distress micro glaze techniques on a layered card with die cut frames, but slightly different with a mix of Autumn patterns and colors.

I hope I've inspired you to mix and match your stamps, products, and techniques and maybe try some new things and see where it takes you!

Our theme for this months Blog Hop is...Vintage!!!
So, what is Vintage? Well, according to Webster's:  something antique is also vintage,
but something vintage isn't necessarily antique, because to be classified as an antique
it has to be over 100 years old. Interesting, right?

I'm more of a modern girl, so I was quite challenged with this months 'Vintage' theme.

I drew my inspiration from old fashioned dresses, probably from our wedding theme last month, as I still had dress stamps all over my craft table. But also, while going through my craft stash, I came across vintage looking sewing patterns and postage stamps with vintage writing, flowers, and buttons that all went well together too! That's why I LOVE our monthly themes! They really challenge me to think outside of the box and look at what I have, mix and match and to use things in unexpected or unintended ways and turn them into something new and extraordinary.

Our theme for this months Blog Hop is...Fruitful!!!

So I took my inspiration from "producing much fruit."  But other things are "fruitful" too, which makes these monthly themes SO much fun. Because they really do stretch our imaginations and creativity to design something totally different from each other.
Today I'm going to show you how to take one stamp set and use it a couple different ways to really be "fruitful and abundant" with y our stamps to create many cards and stretch your budget too.  Like this berry batch background I created on my card below...

One Sheet Wonder - Thank You Cards

Happy New Year! I hope 2017 finds you happy, healthy, and crafty. And speaking of crafty I continue our family tradition of making "thank you" cards after the holidays. I was taught by my mom, who was taught by her mom, to send thank you notes for gifts. And it's my ongoing resolution to continue that tradition with all four of my kids too. Of course in today's day and age they would rather send an email note, which I think is better than nothing, but I prefer they do it properly. So, if I make the handmade cards then they will write a special note and sign them. See complete tutorial and supply list here: http://mykraftkloset.weebly.com/blog/one-sheet-wonder-thank-you-cards
