Hi everybody! Kim here, for CAS-ual Fridays Stamps to celebrate and Sponsor 'International Women's Day' which is kicking off today with a Blog Hop, a Linky Party, and an Instagram Hop from March 8-31, 2020 IST. And the fun part is...you can join us too! ​Details below...

March 8th is a day aimed to help nations worldwide eliminate discrimination against women, but as not to leave our guys out...International Men's Day is also celebrated on November 19 each year. But these 2 weeks are ALL about our wonderful women! 

The idea behind this hop started last year with 10 amazing women card makers who wanted to encourage other women through their crafts. Just a small word of encouragement from fellow women goes a long way and can do wonders. So let us come together again and empower our sisters all around the world. Wow! Pretty awesome, right? We look forward to building a positive environment with your support.


For today's project: I was inspired by the beauty and strength of our fabulous CFS 'Be A Unicorn' stamp set, with coordinating 'Unicorn Fri-Die' to create this amazing project with distress inks, heat embossing, and some metallic sparkle.

Our theme for this months Blog Hop is...Monochromatic! 
Which means the creation of something made from one color hue or one color family. Fun, right? Well, I'll tell you, this was quite challenging for many of us. It's really hard to just stick to one color family and not add black or some other color, as we love all colors and pretty patterned paper. Shown above are the purple and red color palettes I chose to work with this month. Pretty, right?

My first card is a passionate purple beauty...great for any occasion!

My second card is a fiery red beauty in honor of Valentines or my single gal pals for Galentines Day, Birthday, Graduation, or any occasion!

Our theme for this months Blog Hop is...Autumn Colors!!!
I love all holidays, but Autumn is my favorite time of year with all the leaves changing colors, pumpkin spice everything appears, and we have lots of family birthdays to celebrate too! 

My 1st card I knew I wanted lots of leaves and color with ink smooshing, alcohol markers, and die cuts on a fairly large card.

My 2nd card I used masking, ink blending, and distress micro glaze techniques on a layered card with die cut frames.

My 3rd card is similar to my 2nd card with masking, ink blending, and distress micro glaze techniques on a layered card with die cut frames, but slightly different with a mix of Autumn patterns and colors.

I hope I've inspired you to mix and match your stamps, products, and techniques and maybe try some new things and see where it takes you!

Our theme for this months Blog Hop is...Rainy Days!!!
Which means to me: April showers, bring May flowers. And it's starting to green up and bloom here in the South. And where there is rain, sometimes there are rainbows, which was the inspiration for my project this month. I wanted "Harmony Girl" to appear like she's strong and confident, dancing in the puddles, and she's coming through the storm into the big bright happy rainbow of life. 

I had to be creative, as I wanted to create a "rainy" effect to my card and I achieved that by using a few "new to me" techniques and products and mixing stamp sets I hadn't used before either.  ​As shown on my "Harmony Girl" card below...

Valentine Hugs + New Challenges

Hi everybody! As a card maker we're always working several months ahead. So, whether you celebrate Valentines Day, Galentines Day, Love, Friendship, etc...there are people in your life you care about and should tell them or show them some love any time of year. And today I'm sharing a "hugs" card I've been working on that you can make lots of these in a flash and share for Valentines, Birthdays or Mother's Day cards too!

My project today uses up a lot of scraps I've been hoarding, I mean collecting. Ha! And comes together fairy easily without using a lot of supplies.

Summer Picnic Chicks

Hi everybody! School is out for summer and this week I'm sharing a sweet summer card with red and yellow plaid pattern papers that look like summer picnic tables with family and friends. And these adorable chicks remind me of chatting with friends and family sitting around catching up on life.

Twin Birthday die cut flip cards

  

 Last week we celebrated my youngest two kids birthdays, who are fraternal twins. And of course I made them birthday cards, but not just any cards. These are fun die cut flip cards, that my boys love, and they are similar, as you can see, but different. Just like them.
